Singha Park Chiangrai
สิงห์ปาร์ค เชียงราย
Singha Park is a 12.8 sq km agrotourism estate run by Boon Rawd Brewery (the company behind Singha beer) about 6 km from Wat Rong Khun, the White Temple. Walking in is free; you pay only for the tram, bikes, or adventure activities you choose to use. It’s open daily 09:00-18:00.
What’s actually here
The estate is built around working tea plantations and rotating crop fields rather than a single showpiece garden. During the cool season (roughly November-February) that means cosmos flower fields, sunn hemp cover crops, and fruit like strawberries and jujube alongside the tea rows; outside those months it’s mostly green plantation and open lawn. A giraffe and zebra feeding area runs timed sessions of about an hour, departing every 30 minutes. For getting around, there’s a sightseeing tram (150 THB adult, 50 THB for children under 110cm, 09:00-16:00), standard and e-bike rental, private golf carts (600-1,500 THB for two hours depending on capacity), ATV rental, a zipline (300 THB, 11:00-17:00), electric scooters, and a small rock-climbing wall (150 THB per person).
Atmosphere and timing
This is a working farm estate dressed up for visitors, not a manicured botanical garden — the tea terraces photograph well but the rest of the grounds is genuinely agricultural, with tractors and irrigation lines visible between the tourist-facing sections. Early morning is cooler for the open-air activities, and the light on the tea rows is better before the midday sun flattens it. The park periodically hosts a hot-air balloon festival plus concerts and other events, though dates shift year to year rather than falling on a fixed date.
Insider Tip: Rent a bike rather than take the tram if you want to actually stop at the tea rows for photos — the tram runs a fixed loop and doesn’t wait around.
Watch out: The zipline and ATV areas close earlier (17:00) than the main park (18:00), and the tram stops taking riders at 16:00 — plan activity bookings before you wander off to the flower fields.
