Purana Residence is a four-bedroom villa on the Panacea Retreat estate, in the green hills above Bophut and Fisherman’s Village on Koh Samui. It sleeps eight, has a 20-metre infinity pool with a swim-up bar, and comes with breakfast, staff and airport transfers. The airport is 9 km away, about a 15-minute drive.
Bedrooms on the water
A large wooden gate opens onto the living area, a wood-lined vaulted room with glass along almost its whole width and a terrace for the view. The lounge has a wall-mounted TV and sofas around a natural wood table, and the kitchen has an island bar for breakfasts and a built-in wine cooler.
Downstairs, all four king bedrooms sit on the pool and garden level. Each has a rain shower and a TV, and the master’s terrazzo bathtub opens onto the pool. The blue-tiled pool has a swim-up bar with sunken stools beside a sala with a dining table and cushioned seating, shaded for lunch by the water.
Insider Tip: Give the master to the couple celebrating something. It’s the only room with a bathtub, and that tub opens straight onto the pool.
