Anana takes the eco-resort concept and applies it at 5-star level — something Ao Nang hasn’t seen much of. The property sits 2.1 miles inland from the beach strip, surrounded by the karst-and-jungle landscape that defines Krabi Province. That inland position is deliberate: you trade beach proximity for a quieter setting where the ecological design can breathe. Rooms come with eco-friendly toiletries, seating areas, minibars, and desks; some have terraces opening onto the grounds. The outdoor pool is the centrepiece of the common areas.
The resort runs tuk-tuk shuttle services to Ao Nang’s main strip on request, making the 2.1-mile gap manageable. Ao Phai Plong — the small beach accessible via the monkey trail — sits 1.2 miles away, and Dragon Crest Mountain’s viewpoint is 5.6 miles out for a serious hike. Krua Thara Seafood Restaurant, one of Krabi’s better seafood spots, is 3.1 miles away. Room service and 24-hour front desk cover the basics. Krabi International Airport is 11 miles out.
Insider Tip: Dragon Crest Mountain (Ngon Nak) is the hike Ao Nang visitors miss — 3.7 km of steep jungle trail rewarded with a 360-degree view over the entire Krabi coastline. Start before 7 AM to avoid the heat. The resort is closer to the trailhead than any beach-strip hotel.
At 8.9/10 on Booking.com, Anana delivers at the luxury end without the luxury price premiums of beachfront 5-stars. Couples rate it 8.5 — lower than some Railay properties, which reflects the inland position rather than the quality. If your priority is waking up on the sand, look elsewhere. If you want a quieter base with genuine eco-credentials, proper 5-star service, and easy access to Krabi’s inland adventures, Anana fills a gap that no other Ao Nang property does.
