Villa Rakkaew is a four-bedroom retreat on Krabi’s quiet north coast at Tubkaek Beach. The water here is calmer than Ao Nang and the karsts of Hong Island sit out on the horizon — at sunset they turn deep orange for about ten minutes before everything goes dark.
The villa is single-level around a 16-metre infinity pool, with the four bedrooms set back from the main sala for privacy. The dining pavilion overlooks the pool and the sea beyond — comfortable for breakfast in the cool, dinner under fans in the evening.
Tubkaek is the launch point for boats out to Hong Island and the Phak Bia archipelago, both of which are easier to access from here than from Ao Nang. The villa concierge can book private long-tail charters with about two hours’ notice.
