Crown Property Office building, Chachoengsao Provi
อาคารสำนักงานทรัพย์สินส่วนพระมหากษัตริย์จังหวัดฉะเชิงเทรา
The Crown Property Office building in Chachoengsao is a colonial-era administrative building beside the Bang Pakong River. Originally built as the provincial government hall in the early twentieth century, it now serves as a regional office of the Crown Property Bureau, which has restored and maintains it as part of the province’s architectural heritage.
The building’s appeal is its period architecture — a European-influenced design from the reign of the late Chakri kings, set on the riverbank in the older part of the town. It is a working government office rather than a museum, so the draw is the exterior and the riverside setting rather than any interior exhibition. The structure stands as one of the more distinctive surviving examples of provincial civic architecture from that era.
The building sits on Maruphong Road in Na Mueang, in central Chachoengsao close to the Bang Pakong waterfront. It pairs naturally with a wider walk along the river and a visit to the province’s most famous landmark, Wat Sothonwararam, a short distance away. There is no admission charge to view the building from the grounds; check locally before assuming any interior access, as it remains an active office.
