Thaiprachan Hot Spring
พุน้ำร้อนไทยประจัน
Thaiprachan Hot Spring sits inside Chaloem Phrakiat Thai Prachan National Park, right by the park’s own headquarters at Ban Thai Prachan in Yang Hak subdistrict, Pak Tho district — inland Ratchaburi, not Kanchanaburi. Because it’s inside the park, the standard national park entrance fee applies rather than a stand-alone spring charge: 100 THB for foreign adults, 20 THB for Thai adults, daily from around 08:00 to 18:00.
The spring is fed by the Mae Prachan stream that runs through the park, and the water surfaces warm rather than scalding, channelled into simple bathing pools near the park facilities. A cooler section of stream runs close by, so you can move between warm and cool water the way Thai visitors traditionally do at rural hot springs, rather than sitting in one temperature the whole visit. Facilities are basic — changing areas and seating rather than anything resort-grade — which matches the rest of the park; people come here to combine a soak with the park’s forest trails and Mae Prachan waterfall rather than as a wellness-resort day out.
- Entry fee: 100 THB (foreigners) / 20 THB (Thais) — national park entrance fee
- Hours: Daily, roughly 08:00-18:00
- Location: Inside Chaloem Phrakiat Thai Prachan National Park, Yang Hak subdistrict, Pak Tho district
- Facilities: Basic changing area, warm pools fed by the Mae Prachan stream, cool stream nearby
- Not to be confused with: Bo Khlueng Hot Stream (Suan Phueng district, separate site, no park fee)
Watch out: Ratchaburi has more than one hot spring, and online listings mix them up regularly. This site, Bo Khlueng Hot Stream in Suan Phueng, and the Pong Krathing pools elsewhere in the same national park are genuinely different bathing spots with different fees — check you’re heading to the right one before you drive out.
Insider Tip: Since you’re already paying the park entrance fee, build in time for the short forest trails and the Mae Prachan waterfall rather than treating the visit as a soak-and-leave stop — the fee covers the whole park, not just the pools.
Facilities are modest and the pools aren’t heavily developed, so this suits travellers who want a low-key natural hot spring inside a working national park rather than a polished spa experience. Bring cash for the entrance gate, a towel, and water — there’s little in the way of food vendors on site.
