Train Night Market Srinakarin (Talad Rot Fai)
ตลาดนัดรถไฟ ศรีนครินทร์
Also known as: Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin, Srinagarindra Train Night Market, Rot Fai Market Srinakarin
Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin is the original of Bangkok’s vintage “train markets,” out in the east of the city behind Seacon Square. It is bigger and more atmospheric than the food-first night markets closer to the centre: rows of secondhand and retro clothing, a warehouse of antique dealers, classic cars and Vespas, and a back section of warehouse bars that runs late. If you only do one night market with a vintage streak, this is the one.
- When: Thursday–Sunday, ~17:00–midnight (best after 19:00)
- Where: Srinakarin Soi 51, behind Seacon Square, east Bangkok
- Entry: Free
- Best for: Vintage clothing, antiques, retro bars, classic cars
- Getting there: Taxi / Grab — no nearby BTS or MRT
What’s There
The market splits into rough zones. The front is food and the lively run of stalls; deeper in are the warehouse units of antique and retro dealers — furniture, signage, toys, vinyl — and the rows of secondhand clothing the market is known for. Towards the back, a cluster of warehouse-style bars and live-music spots keeps going late, and on any given night you will spot restored classic cars and scooters parked up as part of the scene.
What to Eat
The food is broad and cheap: grilled seafood, moo kratha hotpot, northeastern isaan plates, and a long run of snacks and desserts, plus craft-beer and cocktail stalls. It is easy to make a full evening of it — eat first near the entrance, then drift back into the vintage section and the bars.
When to Go
Go Thursday to Sunday and arrive after 19:00, when the stalls are fully set up and the place takes on its festival feel under the lights. Weekends are busiest. Allow two to three hours; with the bars at the back, it is as much a night out as a market.
Getting There
The market is on Srinakarin Road in the east of Bangkok, between Seacon Square and the neighbouring mall. There is no convenient BTS or MRT, so take a taxi or Grab — count on 30–45 minutes from the central districts depending on traffic. Agree a meter or fare before setting off.
Nearby
For a more central night market with a similar atmosphere, JODD Fairs near the Thailand Cultural Centre MRT has taken over since the old Ratchada train market closed. For daytime scale, nothing in Bangkok beats Chatuchak Weekend Market.

Frequently Asked Questions
What days is the Srinakarin Train Night Market open?
Thursday to Sunday, from around 17:00 until midnight. Many stalls do not open early, so the market is at its best after 19:00 once everything is set up and lit. It is closed Monday to Wednesday.
Where is it, and is it the same as the Ratchada train market?
This is the original Talad Rot Fai on Srinakarin Soi 51, behind Seacon Square in the east of Bangkok. It is not the same as the old Ratchada train market, which has closed — the central-Bangkok successor for night-market atmosphere is now JODD Fairs near the Thailand Cultural Centre MRT.
How do I get there?
It is out in the east of the city, around Srinakarin Road. There is no nearby BTS or MRT, so a taxi or Grab is the practical way in — allow 30–45 minutes from central Bangkok depending on traffic.
What makes it worth the trip?
The vintage theme. Beyond the food, you get warehouse-style bars, a hangar of antique and retro dealers, classic cars and Vespas, and rows of secondhand clothing — a different feel from Bangkok's newer food-focused night markets.
Is there an entry fee?
No, entry is free. Bring cash for the stalls and bars.
