Phu Kariang (Phu Kareang) is a working agritourism farm on the edge of Mueang Nakhon Nayok, where rice paddies, fruit orchards and a folk museum sit together on around 60 rai of family land. It trades the polished feel of a tourist attraction for the rhythm of a real Thai farm — water buffaloes in the fields, free-range chickens and ducks, and a long wooden bridge that runs out across the rice.
At its centre is the Ratanchan Folk Museum, set in a century-old raised rice barn, where old farming tools, household objects and photographs trace how families in the area lived and worked. Demonstration plots show rice planting and harvesting through the seasons, and staff run hands-on Thai cooking sessions using produce grown on site. A small café and a shop selling local produce round out a visit.
Entry is around 49 baht, usually redeemable for a drink or a local product, which keeps the place aimed at day-trippers rather than tour groups. The farm mainly opens to walk-in visitors from Friday to Sunday (roughly 08:00–18:00, later in the cool season); on other weekdays it takes groups by advance arrangement, and it is closed on Tuesdays. It sits a short drive from Nakhon Nayok town and pairs well with the province’s waterfalls and other rural attractions.
