Suan Panan
สวนปาหนัน
Suan Panan is a working fruit orchard in Rayong’s Taphong district, about 12 rai of rambutan, durian, mangosteen, sala, and longkong trees run by a local family since the early 2000s. Walking the grounds costs nothing, but the reason most visitors come — an all-you-can-eat fruit buffet — only runs in season, roughly May through June and sometimes into July, and costs about 450 THB per adult. Outside those months there’s little fruit left to serve, so it’s worth a phone call before making the trip.
The orchard itself is unpretentious: dirt paths between fruit trees, a handful of shaded seating areas, and none of the manicured signage or interpretive displays you’d find at a formal botanical garden. During buffet season, staff bring round whatever’s ripe that week rather than piling everything onto a table at once, so the mix shifts as the weeks go on — durian and rambutan tend to lead in May, with mangosteen and longkong picking up as the season runs later. The family also rents out a small homestay on the property, with rates that include meals, for visitors who want to stay closer to Rayong’s fruit country rather than commute out from town.
Insider Tip: Call ahead before visiting in fruit season, particularly on a May or June weekend — the family needs notice to have enough fruit ready, and unannounced groups can find a thin selection.
Watch out: Outside the roughly May-July fruit season, there’s very little to see beyond bare trees. Confirm by phone before driving out if you’re visiting between August and April.
Suan Panan sits a short drive from central Rayong, in the same Taphong district as several of the province’s other fruit-growing attractions. It works well paired with a broader look at Rayong’s orchards rather than as a standalone stop, since the core experience — sitting down to a fruit spread — depends entirely on timing your visit to the harvest.

For a nearby comparison, Suan Yai Da runs a similar orchard buffet in the same district, and the Thai Mangosteen Orchard covers Rayong’s fruit-growing side with more of an educational focus. The Rayong destination guide has the rest of the province’s beaches and orchards for planning around the harvest.
