Bangkok Pride 2027: Parade Route, Dates & What to Know

Bangkok Pride draws one of Southeast Asia’s largest and most openly celebrated gatherings of the LGBTQ+ community. The festival runs across a long weekend in late May and early June, building through several days of cultural events, art exhibitions, panel discussions, and parties before the main parade closes the week.
The 2026 festival ran 28 May to 1 June, with the headline parade on Sunday 31 May running from Silom through to Thephasadin Stadium near Siam. Turnout passed 500,000 — the largest Pride gathering in Thai history, a figure that reflects both the growth of Bangkok Pride since it relaunched as a large-scale annual event and the historic backdrop of Thailand legalising marriage equality in 2025, the first country in Southeast Asia to do so. The mood on Silom was celebratory at a level that felt different from prior years.

Silom Road is the natural centre. The strip from Sala Daeng down to Soi 4 has been Bangkok’s most visible LGBTQ+ neighbourhood for decades — Rainbow flags hang year-round, and the bars and venues here function as informal community hubs long before Pride week. During the parade, the street is closed to traffic and becomes a procession of floats, costumes, performers, and marchers that moves slowly enough to take in every section.
Insider Tip: Arrive early and plant yourself on the Sala Daeng end of Silom. The parade builds from there, so you catch the best costume density and float concentration before the procession spreads out. By noon on parade day the crowds on the side streets become hard to move through — the BTS is the only reliable way in and out.
The associated events across the festival week range from free community days to ticketed club nights. Bangkok’s venue scene means there’s something in every price bracket. Some parties run well past midnight and fill large club spaces — buy tickets in advance for anything capacity-limited.
Watch out: Rain is a real possibility in late May — Bangkok sits at the start of the rainy season. Afternoon downpours are common but usually brief. A small packable raincoat will serve better than an umbrella in parade crowds.
Bangkok Pride 2026 ran 28 May–1 June. The 2027 edition follows the same late-May window, but exact dates are confirmed closer to the time. Check the events calendar for updates, and browse Bangkok for accommodation and neighbourhood guides near the Silom area.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is Bangkok Pride?
The 2026 festival ran 28 May–1 June, with the main parade on Sunday 31 May. The 2027 dates will be announced closer to the time — follow the official Bangkok Pride social channels for confirmation.
Where does the parade route go?
The 2026 parade started at the Naradhiwas-Chong Nonsi intersection and ran along Silom Road — the city's most LGBTQ+-welcoming street — before continuing via Henri Dunant and Rama I Roads to finish at Thephasadin Stadium near Siam, a route of nearly 5 km. Sala Daeng BTS puts you at the Silom heart of it.
Is Bangkok Pride free?
The street parade is free to join and watch. Some associated events, parties, and venue nights charge admission — prices vary by event. Check the official Bangkok Pride programme for ticketed events.
Is Thailand LGBTQ+ friendly?
Thailand has long had a visible and accepted LGBTQ+ community, particularly in Bangkok, Phuket, and Pattaya. Thailand legalised marriage equality in 2025, making it the first country in Southeast Asia to do so — a milestone that gave the 2026 Pride added significance.
Did Bangkok win WorldPride?
Not yet — Bangkok is a finalist bidding to host WorldPride 2030, up against Barcelona and London. The final presentations happen at the InterPride conference in Phuket in late October 2026. If it wins, it would be the first WorldPride in Southeast Asia.
